Our Languages, Our AI
High school and university students teach Fortiemart 360 and the business game to understand Rutooro, Luganda, Runyankore, Kiswahili and Kinyarwanda.

Apps and AI should work in the languages people speak at home. This Fortiemart project, run with All Safe Africa Foundation, brings high school and university students together to teach Fortiemart 360 and the Fortiemart Business Simulation Game the words people really use.
What students do
- Check and add the words people use for everyday actions: buy, sell, send a parcel, find work, pay
- Translate the app's buttons and messages into their home language
- Write and test business stories for the game in local settings: a boda stage, a market stall, a farm, a salon
- Note how people in their area ask for things, so the 360 voice helper understands them
What students get
- Points for every approved translation in the 360 app: 1 point is UGX 1 of 360 credit
- A certificate of contribution from Fortiemart
- Real experience in AI, data and language technology, with their name on the project
How it works
- Sign up below with your school or university
- Fortiemart adds you to a language group and sends the first word list
- A second speaker checks every word before it goes into 360
- The app learns too: when the voice helper does not understand someone, it records the words and the team adds them
Languages now
Rutooro, Luganda, Runyankore-Rukiga, Kiswahili and Kinyarwanda. More languages join when students offer them. Schools and universities can join as a group: talk to us.
