Digital Tools and Data Adoption for scale
Helping Tooro's entrepreneurs use the phones in their pockets to be found, sell, get paid, keep records and grow from their numbers.
Partners: Fort Portal City Chambers of Business and Commerce (Tesy 2026)
TESY 2026, the Tooro Entrepreneurship Symposium, brings together entrepreneurs from across Tooro under the theme "Digital Innovation and Technology Adoption for Inclusive Local Businesses and Economic Growth". Fortiemart supports TESY 2026 as a sponsoring partner, trainer and startup judge.
At the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, Fortiemart led the session "Digital Tools and Data Adoption for Scale": practical, hands-on training on the tools most entrepreneurs already carry on their phones.
What participants learned
- Being found on Google Maps and WhatsApp Business
- Showing and selling with a catalogue, daily posts and simple design tools
- Getting paid through merchant codes and keeping mobile money statements as proof
- Keeping a simple daily sales record
- Listening to customers through feedback forms and reviews
- Protecting the business with two-step login, safe PIN habits and back-ups
From data to decisions
Every participant left with a Friday 15-minute review: five questions answered from their own numbers, and one decision a week. A business that knows its numbers can borrow, partner and expand.
What comes next
- Follow-up support for participants at the TESY symposium, 16–18 November 2026, Kalya Courts Hotel, Fort Portal
- Shop space on Fortiemart 360 at UGX 30,000 for every business until 14 December 2026, courtesy of TESY 2026
